The first of three competitions of Next Level Invitational will be held on Saturday, Sept 10th. For those interested but didn’t sign up in time, registration reopens on Tuesday at 7:30pm. Click here to register but be sure to mark your calendars as the spots are likely going to fill up fast. The event will take place at the OC Marketplace in Costa Mesa. We looking to send 3-4 athletes so plan on heading down that day to support our fellow Intrepid athletes.

Many of you have expressed an interest in getting out and doing a mud run as a gym.  Well the Survivor Mud Run is an upcoming opportunity on Saturday, Sept 24th at Lake Elsinore.  Registration closes on Sept 19th so be sure to make it known if this mud run is something you’d like to do.  Click the photo above to check out more race details at their site.

 


The 2011 CrossFit Frogman Challenge is coming up on Sunday, Sept 25th at Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Corona. This competition is different from other CrossFit competitions in that it will incorporate swimming and water related skills into the workouts adding a different twist on things that many of us probably aren’t used to. A team competition that looks appealing is being held on Saturday, Oct 15th in the Lake Tahoe area. Unlike other team competitions we’re used to competing in or watching, teams are not co-ed but all male or all female. Each team will have four members and each will participate in each of the three workouts. We can submit as many teams as we like depending on interest and availability. Based on the email traffic we might have enough interest for 1 women’s and 1 men’s teams. If you’re looking for a way to get your competitive juices flowing, team competitions are a great way to get your feet wet doing CrossFit competitions.
